Teriyaki sauce take 1

This is based on a recipe from food.com However its been modified quite a bit to be more paleo friendly. Its not perfect yet since I haven’t gotten the consistency just right. Also it might need to be sweeter but I love some crits of people who try it. My family loves it though.



  • 1/2 cup gluten-free tamari sauce
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp arrowroot
  • 2 drops liquid stevia
  • optional: a splash of sesame oil and white wine
  • optional: sesame seeds


  1. Mix all ingredients
  2. Heat for 20 minutes at mid heat.
  3. Let cool so it can thicken
